Our Prieur 1600N Sabre Mask represents over 200 years of heritage and innovation. Drawing on a tradition of excellence, our mask benefits from two significant patents that underscore its position as the one of the best mask on the market.

Since the invention of the advanced fencing mask in 1844, characterized by the use of cold-stamped wire mesh, we have continued to lead in innovation. Our 1986 patent introduced crucial safety features:

• A stainless steel, grooved ring placed between the front face and the gallery, enhancing the solidity of the metal frame. This ring, coupled with spot welding around its circumference, significantly strengthens the mask.
• A stainless steel spoiler that ensures the bib is securely held at the neck, preventing blade penetration.

We are committed to strong quality control, ensuring the highest safety standards through every stage of manufacturing:

• The mask frame is coated with epoxy powder and baked at 200°C for long-lasting durability.
• The pleated bib is designed to stay securely in place on the jacket and is padded for added safety and comfort.
• An adjustable forehead pad is included to keep the head safely away from the mesh of the mask, with special attention to protecting the nose.
