- The 0.1-second timing allows coaches the opportunity to conduct lessons while using the machine.
Multiple fencing modes:
- FIE: classic fencing according to the standards of the International Fencing Federation.
- STM: Enables the scoring machine to be compatible with the STM wireless system used at World Championships and the Olympic Games
- UIPM: Dedicated mode for practicing Pentathlon epee in the International Modern Pentathlon Federation format, featuring two epee programs: one for individuals and one for teams. The individual epee program includes special graphic presentation. Double hits are not registered in either program
- FREE: Usable with all 3 weapons, the scoring machine is set to “first hit”. Therefore, double hits are not registered. Additionally, in foil, there are no white lights.
- DUEL: this program is recommended by the IAA (International Weapons Academy) for the practice of combat disciplines where the fencing time is that of epee and double hits do not count
- HANDI: Usable with epee and sabre, this mode adheres to all FIE rules but distinguishes between single hits and double hits with different sounds.
Integrated stopwatch and match:
- Stopwatch reset time settings: 30s, 45s, and from 1 min to 99 min.
- Use of colors to indicate the status of the stopwatch.
o stopwatch stopped: blue
o stopwatch counting down: white
o stopwatch in pause mode: yellow
o chronometer in medical mode: red - Points can be recorded from 01 to 99.
- Disables scoring when the chronometer reaches 00:00
- The WSG31 can be programmed to stop the stopwatch automatically when a hit is detected after the fencing time. This feature is known as AUTOMATIC STOPWATCH mode. This option will be accessible through the appropriate LCD screen. Certain fencing modes may temporarily adjust this parameter, but it can always be manually changed by accessing this screen.
- One-minute BREAK function
- One-minute priority time function
- Management of the last 10 seconds according to FIE standards, displaying tenths and hundredths of a second when the stopwatch is stopped.

- Introduction of a new secondary stopwatch that counts from 0 to 1 minute for non-combativity. The stopwatch is dark blue when stopped and yellow when counting.
- Introduction of a new secondary display for P-yellow, P-red, and P-black cards dedicated to non-combativity. These cards can be activated using the remote control.
- When the secondary non-combativity timer reaches one minute, it displays a purple oval.
- The non-combativity timer dynamically disappears when not in use.
Remote control:
- Mixed communications: wire and infrared.
- Powered by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery.
- Can be recharged directly on the WSG31 scoring machine using the special provided slots.
- Complete control of timer, score, periods, cards, and priority.
- Control of general functions.
- Each remote control has a unique address that is communicated to the WSG31 when it is charged, ensuring the WSG31 will only work with that specific remote.
